Take a sport climbing course on amazing cliffs in Spain! If you already know how to top rope, a sport climbing course is a good next step. Here you will learn everything you need to know to be able to climb on top rope and lead climb outdoors on bolted routes.
You will learn about climbing and belaying, about the equipment we use, how to build anchors and set up ropes, how to get everything down safely, how to rappel, and how bolting and public access work when it comes to climbing. The course is two full days outdoors, and you can borrow all the necessary equipment, except climbing shoes.
Bring climbing shoes. If you have a harness, carabiners, belay device, helmet, quickdraws, ropes, and slings, feel free to bring that too, otherwise you can borrow from me.
- Prerequisites: Green card or equivalent skills for top rope climbing.
- Maximum number of participants: Up to 4.
- Age limit for single participants: 18 years. With a participating legal guardian: 13.
We will be outdoors all day. Bring food, enough water, enough clothing according to the weather, as well as sun protection. It is often warm and sunny in Costa Blanca.

**Who am I? **
My name is Sami Ylinen. I started climbing in 2006, and I've been a certified climbing instructor since 2016 with the Swedish Climbing Federation, Svenska Klätterförbundet. I have previously worked as a climbing instructor and shop manager at Klättercentret in Malmö, and I also teach climbing at Malmö Climbing Club.
I'm originally from Timrå, but I've lived in Malmö for more than 20 years. When I'm not teaching, I enjoy climbing sport or trad, preferably in Spain, making pancakes over a camp fire, painting and drawing, and building stuff. I also work as a goldsmith. I have masters degrees in music and in pedagogy, and I'm a certified first aid and CPR instructor.
